Green Thumb

Last week e and I made an ill-advised stop at the hardware store. We went so I could get a sprinkler to water my vegetable garden. We came away with no sprinkler but a whole slew of new flowers. Needless to say, I've been spending time in the yard. More so than I've ever done before. I think our backyard might actually look nice this summer!

We have nasturtiums 

 Impatiens, geraniums and Cannas in pots. (With mulch waiting in the background)

 My veg garden that I planted last month..we had our first crop of lettuce this week! (by the way, am I the only veg gardener who has difficulty knowing what is planted and what is a weed??)

 And an actual flower bed. Dug, planted and bordered.

Now, if only I can get the neighborhood cats to stop using it as their Port-A-Potty, then life would be sweet.

Ric Rac Roundup: Judy Boyer Finnegan

Judy has been in Ric Rac since the very first show, she is a RRR alumni! Originally she just did ceramics, but recently she's been working with linoleum prints. This year will be a nice variety of both. 

"I have my tea bag dishes this year and my incense burners again. I will have some wheel thrown items as well this year, tumblers, bowls, etc.. New glazes include a bright Sunset Red and Sea Spray. Linoleum prints: portraits, chickens, cats and dogs."

Hey Ric Rac Roundupers this is Sandi aka Benandi (oh boy, excuse that that rhymed) and I couldn't be more excited to see you this year at the Summer Ric Rac Roundup. It's going to be amazing! There are so many talented handmade artists that you'll be wowed! In years past I have offered a variety of plush critters and I will still have a handful available. But this year I'm super excited to announce that I've ventured into jewelry and accessories (magnets, brooches, pendants, etc.)  and are cutting my designs via laser. The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel

I'm so excited because The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel opens tonight at the Tivoli. I've been wanting to go see it because it looks adorable. India, Maggie Smith and Judi Dench? It has to be a winner. I don't know that J is so interested in seeing it, but I'm sure I can e and my mom on board.
