Woody greens

This week we received a bunch of new eat.shop guides, and apparently I unwittingly got all the blues and greens. When I laid them out on the table I was taken by the color palette and so decided to find it in fabric...
And here it is! We have Turn of Events voile, Chartreuse shot cotton, Leaves green, Smoky shot cotton, Moss shot cotton, Kokka patchwork, and lichen shot cotton. All my favorite sludgy greens and blues!

The Sushi Collection by Moroso

The Sushi Collection for Moroso designed by Edward Van Vliet is so good. And it contains one of those perfect chairs. You know, a chair small enough to fit in a corner but full of color and personality. Did I ever tell you that I have no control when it comes to chairs? I covet them.

Edward Van Vliet is a Dutch designer who has spent the past 20 years working with furniture and interiors. Check out his Patterns and Textiles page, it is lovely.

Kenzo

Today I'm enchanted with the pattern and volume of Kenzo's Spring 2011 line. Maybe it is response to the continually grey days we are having?

I'm also enchanted by this Vintage Patterns Wiki, a treasure trove of vintage styles. I'll have to track down some of the vintage Kenzo patterns, they are magnificent!

Earth Day Sale!

Happy Earth day everyone! In honor of this lovely day we are offering 10% off all organic fabrics today. That includes the new Cloud 9 and denim linen! It also includes Daisy Janie and the bamboo knits.

We are really trying to stock more organic fabrics, because one of the biggest pollution laden crops is cotton. I know a lot of people are put off by the higher prices of organic cotton, but as regular cotton prices increase I hope that people will start investing in organic. With the GOTS certification you can be sure that your cotton is as environmentally friendly as can be from seed to bolt. There is some great info on Daisy Janie's website about GOTS if you would like to read more..

Have a great Earth Day!

Hemp Denim

This just in...a denim linen made from a blend of 50% hemp and 50% organic cotton. A gorgeous fabric that is nice to the earth. This is the first apparel fabric to trickle in from our recent large-ish apparel order. I wonder what will be next?

Bunnies!

In honor of Easter this weekend I give you two links. One to an Easter craft roundup on the Dirty Laundry blog. The other a link to the Bunny section on Cute Overload. Because you didn't want to get any work done today did you?

Bath Fizzies

Jeanee brought us some of her new flowered Bath Fizzies..wouldn't they be perfect for Easter?

Easter Dress

I'm considering making a last minute Easter Dress. Wouldn't something out of Olivia Strange, Turquoise linen and Apple Shot cotton be pretty?

Woolly Pocket Time

It's starting. I've been trying to ignore it, but with every walk on a nice day it's growing stronger and stronger. It's that itch to magically make my yard into a gorgeous backyard haven. Which of course, is not only easier said that done, but cheaper said than done.

I keep telling myself to stop adding to my list of outdoor things to do, but I can't stop. On the top of my list is to get these lovely Woolly Pockets. We have a fence in backyard and if I had my way we would Woolly Pocket it down the whole length. It would be an Oasis!

See? I get carried away.

Take Flight

Lovely Maggie finished her Take Flight bag from Amy Butler's Style Stitches book. It looks great, doesn't it? Warning! I was told that it's a pretty intense bag to make, so prepare yourself. I think all the work was worth it in the end. That is a bag to keep forever.

Sodapop Notion

Have you seen the cuteness that we have in from Sodapop? I love these wallets, they are a perfect size to carry knitting needles.

And who doesn't like a goody bag? Filled with trims and tat they are total inspiration.

E busy bee

I just want to show off the necklace that e just finished. Yes, as much as e is a knitting master, she is really a jewelry master and this is her latest creation. It's silver, enamel and wood. The best part? It's reversible! I think it looks like a piano, she thinks a mitten. What do you think?
