I just found out today that the Metropolitan Ensemble Theater in KC will be doing Tommy in May! I'm totally there. With bells on. It opens on May 19th which happens to be Tommy writer Pete Townshend's birthday. Which would be a great homage wouldn't it? To go on his birthday?
However, it also happens to be J's birthday. I'm not sure if I should make him spend his birthday on the thing that I want to do. It doesn't seem quite fair, does it? Oh, well any day will be good for me, I can't wait!
Admittedly this is from the movie and I'm guessing Elton John won't be at the show, but here is a little taste for you..
