I'm busy today installing our new Halloween window. I'm hoping my plan for it works..sometimes things just don't turn out like I think they will! Of course, I'm inspired by the Haunted Mansion Costume Ball which is October 15th. And here is a little tip, tickets to the ball are on the Pitch's Big Deal for this week! Welcome back with fabric
Hello, we are finally back from our lovely vacation! If you haven't been on holiday for a while, then let me take a moment to tell you to pack up and go, since vacations are great!.We've come back to a long list of work to do for the store, but our mom did a great job holding down the fort while we were away. Thanks mom!
I love walking into the store and seeing fresh new things. While we were away there were a bunch of fabric shipments. Here is the first installation;
Some gorgeous Kaffe Fasset's in honor of his visiting KC next month.
Some great Joel Dewberry prints that I think will be popular as accompaniment pieces.
And the fun world of Tina Given's Pernilla's Journey..with elephants!
Check back tomorrow for pics of the new Japanese fabrics we received..and get ready because vacation pics are coming!

Maison Lesage
NPR did a great story last week about Maison Lesage, a couture embroidery studio in Paris. Here is a link to the article, and the interview is definitely worth a listen as well.

Wool Modern
I'm excited to go to the Wool Modern exhibit in London next week. The exhibit "focuses on the modern, innovative and avant garde use of wool throughout creative industries." With a list of exhibitors including Alexander McQueen, Vivianne Westwood, Lanvin and Galliano (among many others), I fully expect it to be an amazing experience.
Hopefully we will come back inspired and ready to share new projects with you!

PJ20 fun!
J and I had an especially fun Labor Day weekend. It involved;
Rain
Gazing at George Harrison's son (Beatle child!)
Watching out for jumping musicians
Graffiti installation art
2 super fun concerts
And, strangely enough, a Dennis Rodman sighting. (That picture didn't turn out)
