So, last week the family mosied on over to Colorado for a little vacation. Our first stop was Denver, so we could see the Yves. St Laurent exhibit at the Denver Art Museum.
The Denver Art Museum is HUGE, part of it looks like a castle fortress the other is all geometric sharp shapes. We just saw the Yves exhibit, so we didn't get to delve into the rest of their seemingly extensive collection.
The St. Laurent exhibit is, weirdly, only being displayed in three cities; Paris, Madrid and Denver. How Denver got it, I don't know, but kudos to them! Oh, it was gorgeous and made you want to go home and sew, sew, sew. There were day suits and ball gowns, tuxedos (oh! The tuxedos) and even a recreation of Catherine Deneuve's closet.
We weren't allowed to take pictures in this exhibit, all of following photos were taken by Erica Nikolaidis and you can see more of them over on DesignSponge.
Really, if you are in the Denver area, or are close enough to make a weekend trip, go see this. It's worth the jaunt.
Oh, and don't forget that you can go vote for us at missionsmallbusiness.com to get us the opportunity to win a 250,000.00 grant. We need 250 votes by Friday and you should just go vote if you don't want to hear about it all week...otherwise I'll have to nag you day after day! Just go here, log in through Facebook, search bon bon atelier and hit vote. We would really appreciate it!
