So, I will leave you with this reminder of the Disney event I have been working on which is May 30th. You should totally come!! If you want a ticket, let me know I have them at the store!

SPRING FUNDRAISING EVENT SET FOR SATURDAY, MAY 30, 2009!

An exciting and fun Spring Fundraising Auction Event will take place at the Screenland building, 1656 Washington in the Crossroads area of Downtown Kansas City, on Saturday, May 30th from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. The event will feature hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar and an auction of items donated by businesses and individuals to support the ongoing work to restore the site of Walt Disney’s first professional film studio. Among the items which will be auctioned are artwork done by major, nationally-known cartoonists and comic strip artists especially for Thank You Walt Disney, as well as dozens of other items.

Virginia Davis, played Alice in Walt’s "Alice Comedies" filmed right here in Kansas City back in the 1920’s. She is our special guest at the night’s event. Stop by and chat with this living legend that will delight you with stories about working with Walt Disney himself.

Admission to the event is only $20, which includes a ticket for the "Lion King" cel raffle. Make plans now to be with us at the Screenland building on the afternoon of Saturday, May 30th for what promises to be an excellent party!
