Valenki boots

So, I was doing some snowboot research, since I am trying to walk to work. Which is all well and good until it's freezing cold and my feet are wet and I'm trying to slog through the snow--hence the need for boots. Anyway, during my research I found out something important...snowboots are ugly. Ick. Boring.

But then I found these Russian Valenki felt boots, which are not only supposed to be the warmest boot ever (After all, Russia knows cold weather) but I think they are super cute. Granted the valenki itself is not waterproof, so then you put them with rubber clogs and, I don't know, I just thought they were super cute!

I mean, not as mind-blowing as the pink snow boots I had in elementary school that had ice cream cones on the side that changed color with the weather--but still cute.

Man, wouldn't this be cool to get for a certain upcoming holiday?

ohhhh I love them!!! Are you going to get them? I'd love to hear a review. The only thing I would worry about it snowdrifts. (I'm looking to walk to work as well)

Geez e, if you think you can make them for me I'll hold off on buying them. Anyway I kind of figured I would wait until after the holidays.

Jenni: I wondered about snowdrifts as well, but I think it will be ok as long as you get the rubber clog as well. Unless you have to walk through super high snowdrifts! In which case I don't know how good I would be at walking to work!
