Liberty sneak peek..

Liberty sneak peek up at Refinery 29! Time to start planning the strategy...

By the way, I was at Target the other day--where there are HUGE displays for the upcoming Liberty collection all over the place--and so I asked one of the employees if there are some Target stores in KC that will get more of the Liberty collection than others. Dead silence--she looked at me like I had grown two heads. So I said, you know, the Liberty collection (behind me were huge signs hanging and at my feet on her counter was a six foot long sign) anyway after a long blank stare she said that no store every knew what they were going to get. At any rate I just thought it was funny because we were practically surrounded by promotions for the line and she had absolutely no idea what I was talking about...

I know, I guess I had too high expectations for the Target staff--silly me! It comes out on March 14th...but I'm also going to wander on over right before closing on the 13th--just to see if anything is out yet. I am far to excited about this..

I've noticed that when it comes to designer collaborations, Target at Ward Parkway Mall tends to get the most diversity of items as well as quantity. Target up North off of Barry road doesn't get as much diversity, but they generally get the most popular items from each collection and it's not as picked over. Target off of Shawnee-Mision Parkway in Shawnee/Lenexa never seems to have anything. I don't know if this is because they just don't get a lot in or if it goes really quickly. I'd assume the former...I feel like a freak for knowing this, but I was really into developing shopping strategies for the Rodarte collection that came out over holiday. And I STILL couldn't manage to get my hands on a ribcage dress.

Thank you Shanna! Now that is the kind of info I'm looking for. I kicked myself that I didn't get to Target in time to get any of the really good Rodarte, so I didn't end up getting anything. Maybe we should station people at Targets all around KC so everything is covered!
