Royal Pavilion

So, I was going on to J about how we should stencil our walls (see yesterday's post) and how it would look fabulous. I saw that he was not convinced so I pulled out my ace and said "You know, it would look like that room at the Brighton Pavilion" For this, my most convincing argument, I got a blank stare. Sigh. Apparently I was the only one who was so taken by our tour of the Brighton Pavilion nine years ago that I remembered a perfect green room with a bamboo pattern on the walls.

Anyway, I thought you all would appreciate the Pavilion and so set about finding pictures for you. No, I couldn't find the room I remember (in fact, it was kind of difficult finding any pictures, which is why they are so tiny) Although the pics are small you can at least get a taste of the grandeur of the palace, which was built for George the Prince Regent at the turn of the 19th century. I mean the wall decor and the chandeliers are enough to make a girl swoon. It is a truly amazing place to visit and if you are ever popping over to England, you should go see it.

By the by, I just saw that you can get married there. Dang it! that would have been cool...

you know, if this level of fabulous is possible why doesn't everything look this good? Oh right...time, money and commoners! Guess i'll start my own stencilling and work on getting the chandeliers later....
