Mcqueen at Target!

Awesome!!

As Isaac Mizrahi’s final collection for Target cycles through stores, the retailer is unveiling plans for a new fashion initiative.Target in March will launch Designer Collaborations, which is aimed to be an ongoing program that will bring a series of established designers to the masses at low prices. Designer Initiative is a separate program from Target’s Go International, which focuses on young or emerging designers and, in the past, has featured names such as Proenza Schouler, Luella Bartley, Behnaz Sarafpour, Rogan and Richard Chai. Industry sources have estimated that Go International does more than $100 million in annual sales. The launch collaboration will be with Alexander McQueen, who will create a version of his McQ collection, called McQ Alexander McQueen for Target. Read more here..

Wahoo! I just love when big, fabulous designers understand that we little folks want to look smashing too :)

And I ADORE the idea of painting an old door with chalkboard paint. It's going to look amazing with it's air of casual deconstructedness. (i don't think that's a word!) and it will be terrific for just moving around wherever suits your fancy. i'd love if you post some pics when it's done!
